Hello & welcome to our auction for this Yamaha DT400. As you can see from the pictures the bike is sold for full restoration The engine is unfortunately seized, most probably from standing many years The alloy rims have been sprayed black, so hard to know the exact condition The exhaust & silencer are both sold No chain damage from the crankcases This is a big project, but definitely worth the effort

Yamaha DT400 1975 project matching frame and engine numbers, Unregistered US import comes with US title and nova, the bikes in fair condition for its age does have a few dents in the tank please study the pictures for the condition of the bike, it does need a few jobs doing the front exhaust bracket is missing the fork seals will want changing, rear mud guard is cut down, kick start ratchet slips can still start the bike, the inlet manifold is cracked, the carb will want rebuilding as the slides... more

It start runs and rides with loads of power but needs work to get it roadworthy All the switches work as does the rev counter and speedo (i connected a cable and turned the with a drill) Loom seems to be all there It has no registration though i have a dating certificate from my local Vintage bike club if it helps Has matching engine and frame numbers Whats in the pictures is all there is
