The most important thing to do on these bikes is to replace the cam chain tensioner this as been done using genuine Honda parts from david silvers while carrying out the cam chain tensioner replacement it was found the bike had recently been re bored with +0 25 pistons fitted

1980 Honda cb250n superdream. Bought for £1000 last year as a project with a spare engine, as original wouldn't turn over. Fitted the spare engine, turned out it was the 5 speed from a CM250T 1981'ish. Runs okay, done a couple of thousand miles on it since. This is my 1978 Honda CB550. In 2018 it had a £3500 full engine and gear box rebuild carried out by D and M Engineering in Newark. A classic motorcycle restoration specialist. It has done 2100 miles since then just going back and forth for a coffee at the beach 10 miles away. For sale is my restored 1975 CB750. Made for the US market, this was imported into the UK in 2016, just before I purchased it.
