Classic Bikes for sale: 1969

This bike was the very definition of a barn find. As best I recall, in the late 1980s, American Honda set up some kind of arrangement to help dealers get rid of their NOS parts. This was way before the Internet so I don't know how it worked, but my buddy worked at a Honda dealership and was able to get hard to find parts at a discount.

Offered for sale is this 1969 Triumph 650 Tiger. This bike has been owned by one of our customers since 2001. We have serviced the bike every year for the last 20 years. 1969 dream CA-77, unrestored, unmolested and all original with 4400 miles on the clock. It is in very very good condition. I do have it running well and everything works as it should. 1969 Dnepr with sidecar. eBay only had Ural as a Make listing choice. Some call these a Ural, but I am told this is a Dnepr made in Ukraine. It had a very basic low end cosmetic restoration years ago, was running, etc, only driven 82 miles; and was kept in inside storage since 2011. Tires still look like new with nubs still showing. This bike is gorgeous and runs great. If you are serious about this, you already know the details. It is a "Police Special " , which it says on the speedometer. Original British Bonneville with all matching numbers and including a letter of authenticity from the Triumph Owners Club.
Dispatched to J. R. Alexander Co , Edinburgh in 29 / 03 / 1969.
The Bonneville was restored in 2012 and has covered 150 miles since its rebuild.
In 2020, the Bonneville was transported to Meriden Motorcycle, Coventry, for a full health check and head off inspection, service, new amal MK I's and petrol tank coated internally at a cost of £1800.

1969 Triumph Bonneville T120R finished in Olympic Flame. The bike was built in late 68 for the American market and sold as a 69 model to Triumph Corporation, Baltimore, USA. It has matching numbers. As you can see from the pictures the bike is in great condition having had much money spent on it, if you give me a call i will be happy to talk you through it. Honda C50 for restoration. Points cleaned and ignition timing set. Top-end overhaul with new barrel, pistons and rings. Valves lapped in. Carburettor cleaned out and new throttle cable. Starts and runs ok. Gears select. Body ok, but may need attention to rear end. Electrics not tested except front and rear lights, both working Engine compression tested at 135psi, which is 20% down on Honda spec. Leak test indicated leak past rings.
