Classic Bikes for sale: Honda CX500

Are you looking for a fun project bike or need spare parts for a 1982 Honda CX500T? This bike would serve either of those objectives nicely!
I've owned this bike for about 12 years, and I only had two problems with it. First, about seven years ago, one of the crank position sensors failed because there was a leak in the mechanical seal that caused coolant to leak where it shouldn't. I fixed all of that. Nice Honda CX500 Shaft drive. This bike is a nice riding bike and has a lot of power for a 500cc bike. I am 260lbs and it moves me around with no problems. Bike has been maintained and is in good shape. The shifter seal was recently replaced because of an oil leak and the mechanical seal was replaced last year. Purchased 1 year ago as a running project bike (I was going to do a full cosmetic showroom build). Mechanically sound with a recent replacement of all the classic 'quad bypass' parts replaced as is normal for a bike of this age. This includes the alternator, ignition sensors, water pump seal, cam chain / tensioners, fuel pump etc. Approx cost of parts £1000

I have for sale a 1980 CX500 that was recently imported from Canada She comes with a NOVA and Title certificate. The bike will require registration in the UK for the V5. This is a fairly simple process requiring completion of a V55 / 5 form (downloadable), payment of first registration fee £ 55 and sending of documents to the DVLA. The bike can be registered as an historic vehicle at first registration which negates the requirement for a MOT or payment of road tax
