Matching numbers BSA B31 first registered 12 8.55. I bought this bike already dismantled in 1983. It is largely complete and still in the remains of the original maroon stove enamel. The engine turns freely. The frame appears to be straight and has little, if any, of the usual kerb damage underneath
The '55 is an ideal starting point for a Gold Star replica as it shares many of the same cycle parts, unlike the later models. It would also be a good basis for a Tribsa

Useable practical classic with 399cc big bore engine (Triumph T140 piston), electronic ignition, indicators and Triumph vented brakes
Very nicely restored by previous owner. Lovely condition, comfy ride, starts first or second kick and easily enough power to keep up with traffic. Sounds fantastic!
Faults: Oil will drain into sump if left unstarted for long periods, but start her up every 2-3 weeks and all is fine. Primary drive casing has ... more
