1948Indian Chief 74 ci in Blue / Cream paint. Bike several years ago underwentrestoration by previous owner. This 1949 Indian Scout was purchased at the Las Vegas auction some years ago. I included photos to show you the bike as purchased. I was planning to do a light restoration, but when I got it home there were issues undisclosed that required a complete tear down. I had the engine rebuilt and the transmission gone through

1947 Harley Davidson Knucklehead EL with 1945 LE sidecar. Motor top end has been rebuilt, no leaks, very few miles since rebuild. The frame is not a ' Bull Neck' with offset springer. I've researched this using the Palmer Book and looks to be a 1945 frame and front forks. The frame and front forks are original Harley and not aftermarket but not correct for 1947 and are in excellent condition. The gas tanks, speedo and rear taillights are original 47. Freshly built 1948 74" EL Panhead engine (engine only) with zero run time. All genuine Harley parts. Also has a freshly rebuilt M74 Linkert carb, no broken fins, matching belly numbers with a clear NV title. Has a 5 digit vin which appears to be Police issue according to the research I've done. This Triumph 500cc Speed Twin was one of a few that were manufactured in 1945 after the war finished, I know of only one other in the world. A black one that??s in the States. Triumph struggled to obtain their trademark red paint immediately after the war, this may be the only Amaranth Red Speed Twin of that first year in existence.
